Sudan: An imminent RSF offensive is pushing North Kordofan toward catastrophe
The International Rescue Committee warned of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe in North Kordofan as escalating Rapid Support Forces drone strikes targeted fuel depots and water stations in El Obeid. In the days leading up to late June, approximately 2,000 civilians successfully fled the besieged city for the neighboring White Nile state. However, ongoing attacks are severely cutting off escape routes, leaving many unable to flee the continued aerial bombardments.
