Deadly Cholera Outbreak Kills 30 and Infects Hundreds in West Kordofan, Sudan
A Sudanese relief group, the Dar Hamar Emergency Room, reported that a cholera outbreak has claimed at least 30 lives and infected over 800 people in West Kordofan state since late June. The outbreak is concentrated in the Wad Banda and Al-Nahud localities. Humanitarian conditions in Sudan remain dire as the ongoing civil war has decimated healthcare infrastructure and restricted access for aid organizations, leading to rapid disease transmission among displaced populations.
