Clinical Trials Begin as DRC Ebola Outbreak Deaths Reach 447
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, health authorities reported that an escalating outbreak of the Bundibugyo Ebola strain has caused 447 deaths from 1,460 total cases. In response to the crisis, a new clinical trial evaluating the monoclonal antibody MBP134 and antiviral drug remdesivir began enrolling patients, according to the WHO and the DRC Health Minister.
