Displacement in Beit Lahia Amid Israeli Encroachment
Between June 15 and 21, 2026, Israeli forces advanced into an area of Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip. OCHA reported that forces dropped incendiary munitions from the air, setting three tents ablaze and encroaching on the 'Yellow Line'. This military advance and resulting fires forced local families to flee. It is estimated that 335 people were newly displaced by this specific ground operation and airstrike.
