Mandatory Evacuations Proceed Under Fire in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk
In late June 2026, ongoing Russian drone and artillery strikes against civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk region forced authorities to intensify mandatory civilian evacuations. According to the Donetsk Regional State Administration, targeted evacuations from active combat zones resulted in 85 children and their families being officially relocated from designated neighborhoods in the Kramatorsk community and Sloviansk to safer regions during the week leading up to June 24.
