Around June 20, 2026, roughly 2,260 people were displaced from two villages in the Umbro locality of North Darfur. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) indicated that the displacement was driven by widespread looting, market raids, and village burnings carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during their ongoing offensive in the region.
