UN Reports 7,600 Newly Displaced by Haiti Gang Violence

The UN reported that severe clashes between heavily armed gangs triggered mass displacements across several Haitian departments. Fighting in the Artibonite department drove 2,600 people from their homes, while renewed armed clashes in Port-au-Prince's Cité Soleil displaced an additional 5,000 residents and forced Doctors Without Borders to suspend operations at its maternity facility.
