Clashes in Eastern Bago Displace Civilians Along Highway
On June 19, fierce clashes spread to eastern Bago as resistance forces attacked regime bases on the old Yangon-Mandalay highway. The ground battles trapped vehicles and forced an estimated 1,000 local civilians to flee the fighting.
