United States Lifts Maritime Blockade on Iranian Ports Following Peace MoU

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the official cessation of all blockade enforcement operations against Iranian maritime traffic and coastal areas. The move follows the signing of a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding between Washington and Tehran aimed at ending the regional war. While U.S. naval assets will remain in the Gulf to monitor compliance, merchant vessels are no longer being impeded from entering or exiting Iranian ports as a 60-day negotiation period for a comprehensive deal begins.
