Ukrainian military evacuates nine people from Kupiansk district
On June 15, 2026, the Ukrainian military successfully evacuated nine civilians from the village of Putnykove in the Kupiansk district, located merely two kilometers from the active frontline. The emergency evacuation was prompted by frequent and intensifying Russian artillery shelling in the region. Following the military extraction, volunteer groups transported the evacuees to Kharkiv, the regional administrative center, where local authorities provided them with initial humanitarian support and shelter.
