CENTCOM Intercepts Iranian Drone Swarm in Strait of Hormuz
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that US forces intercepted multiple one-way attack drones launched by Iranian forces targeting commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz between June 12 and June 13. Despite the attempted strikes, CENTCOM reported that the international trade corridor remains open and traffic flow continues unimpeded. The incident follows a June 11 attack that resulted in the deaths of three Indian seafarers on a commercial vessel off the coast of Oman.
