Islamabad MoU Draft Emerges to End US-Iran Naval Blockade

A draft 14-point peace agreement known as the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has emerged between the United States and Iran. According to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the deal proposes an immediate cessation of hostilities and a lifting of the US naval blockade on Iranian ports within 30 to 60 days. The deal would also include arrangements for the management of the Strait of Hormuz. US President Trump indicated that an agreement is 'imminent' but remains contingent on nuclear safeguards.
