Arakan Army encircles Taung Maw Gyi naval station in Kyaukphyu siege
The Arakan Army (AA) has successfully cut off all land access to the Taung Maw Gyi naval station in Myanmar's Kyaukphyu Township. After capturing four defensive outposts surrounding the base, AA forces have confined junta troops to the facility, forcing them to rely on vulnerable water routes for supplies. Military observers report the evacuation of military families as the AA continues its state-wide offensive to eliminate the remaining junta presence in Rakhine State.
