U.S. Airstrikes Target Iranian Water Reservoirs and Air Defense Systems
As part of Operation Epic Fury, U.S. forces conducted heavy airstrikes against Iranian infrastructure and military sites on June 10. Reports from the Associated Press indicate the bombing of two major reservoirs, leaving approximately 20,000 residents without water. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated the strikes also targeted air defense ground control stations and surveillance radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz in response to the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter.
