Blue Nile Clashes Displace Thousands in Southeast Sudan
Escalating military attacks and clashes involving the Sudanese Armed Forces and RSF-aligned groups in Sudan's Blue Nile State displaced approximately 9,500 people between May 24 and May 27, 2026. The IOM reported that the newly displaced population sought shelter in informal gathering sites and host communities in areas such as Ad-Damazin and Roseires amid harsh conditions and a severe lack of humanitarian aid.
