More than 11,000 Displaced in South Darfur Tribal Clashes
Renewed tribal clashes between the Beni Halba and Salamat tribes in South Darfur forced 11,630 people to flee their homes in the Kubum locality between June 4 and 6, 2026. The displaced individuals sought refuge in neighboring areas including North Nyala and South Nyala. Violence has spread rapidly despite community leaders' appeals for calm, according to an International Organization for Migration report.
