US Marines Conduct Blockade Operations; Missile Disables Tanker
U.S. Central Command forces fired on and disabled the Palau-flagged oil tanker M/T Marivex in the Gulf of Oman as it attempted to breach the U.S. naval blockade and sail to an Iranian port. The U.S. military strike caused a fire on board, though all 24 Indian crew members were rescued safely. This is the seventh commercial vessel disabled under the blockade since April.
