Civilians in Myanmar continue to face compounded crises driven by ongoing conflict
Intensified military operations, ground fighting, and airstrikes by the State Administration Council (SAC) displaced more than 5,000 people from several villages in the Tanintharyi Region of Myanmar. A June 1 report by UNOCHA confirmed that these newly displaced civilians are currently sheltering in forested areas and are facing severe shortages of food, basic supplies, and healthcare amid constrained humanitarian access.
