Israel strikes southern Lebanon villages after evacuation warnings
Following the breakdown of a ceasefire, Israel issued forced evacuation orders on June 5 for nine villages in southern Lebanon. Airstrikes subsequently hit Anqoun and other towns, forcing an estimated 2,500 displaced people previously sheltering there to flee toward Sidon as strikes left six civilians dead.
