Ukrainian Red Cross conducts large-scale evacuation from Kharkiv border communities
In response to escalating Russian operations along the border, an emergency response team from the Ukrainian Red Cross coordinated with local authorities and the National Police to carry out a large-scale evacuation of civilians from frontline communities in the Kharkiv region. Evacuees were safely transported to a transit center in Kharkiv city. Using IDMC methodology for organized regional evacuations, an estimated 5,000 people were displaced.
