Taiwan Tracks 10 Chinese Military Aircraft and 8 Naval Vessels Crossing Median Line
Between 6:00 a.m. on May 28 and 6:00 a.m. on May 29, 2026, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense tracked 10 People's Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, 8 naval vessels, and 4 official ships operating around the island. All 10 aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line, entering Taiwan's northern, central, and southwestern Air Defense Identification Zones (ADIZ). In response, Taiwan deployed military aircraft, naval ships, and coastal-based missile systems to monitor the Chinese movements, which represent continued gray zone coercion tactics.
