Clashes Force Civilians from Kyaukpyu to Ramree
Mid-May armed clashes in Rakhine State triggered the displacement of approximately 3,000 people from several villages in Kyaukpyu Township. According to UNOCHA humanitarian updates, the civilians were forced to flee southward to Ramree Township to escape the escalating localized conflict between junta forces and the Arakan Army.
