Armed Clashes Displace Thousands in Salin Township
Armed clashes between the Myanmar Armed Forces and non-state armed groups in Salin Township, Magway Region, displaced approximately 5,000 people from 15 villages. According to a UNOCHA situation report, the violence reportedly resulted in the deaths of eight civilians and the severe damage or destruction of about 300 local houses.
