Over 270 Palestinians medically evacuated to Egypt
Between April 20 and April 26, 2026, the complete depletion of advanced medical services in the Gaza Strip due to intense bombardments required the emergency evacuation of vulnerable civilians. OCHA reported that 104 patients, accompanied by 167 caregivers, were successfully transported across the Rafah border into Egypt. This humanitarian action displaced 271 individuals seeking refuge and medical care away from the war zone.
