During the first week of May 2026, Israeli authorities demolished 22 Palestinian-owned structures across the West Bank for lacking building permits. These administrative demolitions resulted in the forced displacement of 42 people, including two dozen children. One specific incident in the Ad Deirat community, east of Yatta, destroyed a two-story home, displacing a family of eight. The demolitions were recorded by UN OCHA.
