CENTCOM Protects U.S. Warships Transiting Strait of Hormuz
U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers (including USS Truxtun, USS Rafael Peralta, and USS Mason) were subjected to unprovoked attacks involving missiles, drones, and small boats while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces intercepted the threats and conducted self-defense strikes against Iranian military facilities, targeting command and control locations and missile/drone launch sites. No U.S. assets were struck.
