Russian Missile and Drone Strikes Kill 21 Civilians in Ukraine
Russian forces launched a series of ballistic missiles and 108 drones against eight locations in Ukraine between late May 5 and the morning of May 6, 2026. The strikes, which involved Iskander-M and Kh-31 missiles, killed at least 21 civilians and injured 82 others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia effectively rejected a unilateral Ukrainian ceasefire by continuing these large-scale assaults, which also included the use of over 70 glide bombs.
