Airstrike in Chin State kills seven, pushes 150 refugees into Mizoram
On May 1, 2026, a Myanmar military aircraft dropped two bombs on the civilian village of Khawpuichhip in Falam Township, Chin State. Local resistance groups stated there were no armed formations present. According to UNI and local authorities, the airstrike killed seven civilians, including six children, and forced over 150 people to flee across the border into Mizoram, India over the weekend.
