Worsening insecurity in Sudan's North Kordofan displaces 2,600 civilians
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that armed clashes and worsening insecurity in Sudan's North Kordofan state forced civilians to flee over two days. Between April 29 and April 30, 2026, approximately 2,600 new internally displaced persons evacuated the towns of Abu Haraz and Kazgil, seeking shelter in the Sheikan district as the conflict between the SAF and RSF continues to escalate.
