In a continuation of fierce fighting between the military Junta and the Arakan Army (AA), specific AA arrests and raids on April 30 in Buthidaung Township triggered new flight. Following the earlier flight of over 800 villagers, at least 5 displaced men were arrested, pushing surrounding residual Rohingya households—estimated at 800 new individuals—to flee the villages of Kyauk Hla Pyin and Doni Chaung.
