U.S. Navy Enforces Blockade in Strait of Hormuz, Redirects 42nd Vessel
U.S. Central Command reported on April 30 that naval forces have successfully redirected a 42nd commercial vessel attempting to breach the maritime blockade of Iranian ports since April 13. Adm. Brad Cooper stated the blockade has prevented the Iranian regime from selling approximately 69 million barrels of oil, resulting in over $6 billion in lost revenue. The blockade remains highly effective despite Iranian attempts to use 'mosquito fleets' of small boats to harass shipping.
