UN Sanctions RSF Procurement Chief and Colombian Mercenaries in Sudan Conflict

The UN Security Council imposed sanctions on Algoney Hamdan Dagalo, brother of RSF leader Hemedti, for his central role in procuring weapons for the paramilitary group. Additionally, three Colombian nationals were sanctioned for recruiting former Colombian soldiers to serve as infantry and drone operators for the RSF. These mercenaries reportedly participated in combat operations in Khartoum and El Fasher. The measures were proposed by the UK, US, and France under the 1591 sanctions regime.
