On April 22, 2026, two military junta jet fighters dropped at least 10 bombs on Won Kalay village in Letpadan Township, Bago Region, despite no ongoing ground clashes in the area. The airstrikes instantly killed four young civilian men and severely injured six others, destroying three residential houses. The unprovoked aerial assault triggered panic in the region, displacing an estimated 500 residents from the targeted and neighboring villages who fled to avoid further deadly bombardments.
