Clashes Intensify in Sudan's Blue Nile Region Between Army and RSF
Severe fighting erupted in the Blue Nile State between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with both sides trading blows in a bid to control strategic territory. Concurrently, legal groups reported that the RSF is extorting ransom payments from families in Nyala, South Darfur, for the release of civilian detainees. The intensification of the conflict in central regions has hindered the delivery of humanitarian aid as the war enters its fourth year.
