EU Finalises €90 Billion Support Loan to Ukraine and 20th Sanctions Package
The European Council formally approved a massive €90 billion loan to support Ukraine's macroeconomic and defense industrial capacities through 2027. The loan is backed by the EU budget headroom and is ultimately designed to be repaid via Russian reparations. Simultaneously, the EU adopted its 20th sanctions package against Russia.
