Myanmar Junta Issues 100-Day Ultimatum Amid Escalating Sagaing Airstrikes
Myanmar’s military junta leader Min Aung Hlaing issued a 100-day ultimatum for resistance forces to join peace talks while simultaneously escalating aerial bombardments in the Sagaing Region. On Tuesday and Wednesday, junta warplanes bombed Kanduma village, killing six people and destroying dozens of homes. In the Pale and Yinmabin townships, over 10,000 villagers have been newly displaced this week following a series of regime raids and arson attacks intended to recapture territory from the People's Defence Forces.
