US Naval Blockade Redirects 33 Vessels Under Operation Economic Fury
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Thursday that its naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, part of Operation Economic Fury, has now turned away or redirected 33 commercial vessels attempting to reach Iranian ports. The blockade aims to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus by cutting off material support. While CENTCOM maintains the blockade, the U.S. has reportedly extended a fragile ceasefire with Tehran until Sunday to facilitate ongoing negotiations mediated by Pakistan and Oman.
