40,000 Samsung Workers Protest in South Korea Over Compensation and Pay Gap

Approximately 40,000 Samsung Electronics workers staged a massive union rally outside a semiconductor factory complex south of Seoul, protesting performance bonus caps and a widening pay gap with rival SK Hynix. The union has threatened to launch an 18-day strike beginning May 21 if demands are not met.
