ISCAP Militants Attack Chinese-Owned Gold Mine in DRC
Militants affiliated with the Islamic State Central African Province (ISCAP) launched a deadly and sophisticated assault on the Chinese-owned Muchacha gold mine along the Ituri River. The terrorists killed seven Congolese Army (FARDC) soldiers protecting the site and massacred 17 civilians in the adjacent village, while looting weapons and torching the complex.
