U.S. Navy Seizes Iranian Cargo Vessel M/V Touska in Gulf of Oman

On April 19, 2026, the U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG-111) intercepted and seized the Iranian-flagged cargo ship M/V Touska in the Gulf of Oman. After the vessel ignored warnings for six hours, U.S. forces fired on the ship's engine room to disable it.
