Mass Evacuation Order for Zahrani River Region
On April 15, 2026, the Israeli Defense Forces issued a renewed displacement order for areas south of the Zahrani River in southern Lebanon, directing all residents to relocate northward amid the escalation of hostilities. The sweeping military directive forced civilians to abandon their homes. Under IDMC methodology for a city/regional evacuation order, this single event displaced an estimated 25,000 individuals.
