IDF Evacuation Order for Beirut's Jnah Area
On April 9, 2026, the Israeli Defense Forces issued sweeping evacuation orders for the Jnah area in Beirut's southern suburbs. According to UN humanitarians and WHO, the displacement order forced the immediate evacuation of 13 collective shelters hosting more than 6,000 people, as well as disrupting operations at the Rafik Hariri University Hospital and Al Zahraa Hospital, which housed 450 patients.
