US Sanctions Iraqi Militia Commanders Over Attacks on US Personnel

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned seven Iran-aligned Iraqi militia commanders from groups including Kata'ib Hezbollah, Kata'ib Sayyid Al-Shuhada, Harakat Al-Nujaba, and Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq. The sanctions hold them responsible for planning, directing, and executing attacks against US personnel and facilities in Iraq.
