Israeli Airstrike on Nabatieh Governorate Building
Following the breakdown of a fragile ceasefire, Israeli forces resumed intense military operations across southern Lebanon. On April 11, a direct airstrike struck the Nabatieh Governorate building, killing 19 people. OCHA reports that the renewed bombardments triggered a wave of secondary displacement as civilians who had attempted premature returns were forced to flee again. Based on IDMC guidelines for urban airstrikes, an estimated 2,500 people were newly displaced by this specific localized strike.
