U.S. CENTCOM Reports Zero Breaches of Iranian Port Blockade in First 24 Hours
U.S. Central Command confirmed on April 14, 2026, that the naval blockade of all Iranian ports, which commenced at 15:00 UTC on April 13, has successfully prevented any maritime traffic from entering or exiting. Within the first 24 hours, six merchant vessels attempting to reach Iranian facilities in the Gulf of Oman complied with U.S. instructions and turned back.
