Resistance Forces Attack Junta Patrols in Magway and Tanintharyi Regions
On April 11, People's Defense Forces (PDF) launched multiple operations against Myanmar's military junta following the inauguration of Min Aung Hlaing as president. In Magway's Natmauk Township, PDF members killed two Pyusawti militia members and conducted mine attacks on junta troops for two consecutive days. In Tanintharyi, the Kawthaung Township PDF attacked a junta patrol boat. These actions coincided with a nationwide 'Blue Shirt Campaign' calling for the liberation of political prisoners and the rejection of the military government.
