Senior RSF Commander Al-Nour Guba Defects to Sudanese Army in North Darfur
On April 11, Major General Al-Nour Ahmed Adam, a top field commander for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), defected to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) along with 136 military vehicles. Guba, who previously commanded the RSF's Peace Shield unit, reportedly split from the paramilitary group following internal leadership disputes regarding the governance of North Darfur. This high-profile defection is a significant blow to the RSF’s control in the region as the SAF seeks to consolidate loyalist forces.
