Deadliest Israeli Airstrikes Hit Lebanon Amid Faltering Ceasefire

In the deadliest day since the regional war expanded, Israel launched massive airstrikes against over 100 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon within 10 minutes, severely hitting densely populated areas in central Beirut and its southern suburbs. The strikes occurred despite a tentative US-Iran ceasefire, which Israel insists does not apply to Hezbollah. The Israeli army simultaneously continues its ground invasion in southern Lebanon, where 12 IDF soldiers have died. Lebanon has declared April 9 a national day of mourning.
