U.S. Continues Strikes into Iran Following F-15E Aircrew Rescue
As part of the ongoing Operation Epic Fury, U.S. Central Command forces continued a heavy campaign of airstrikes deep into Iranian territory. The strikes are dismantling operational components, missile launchers, and internal security forces. This follows the successful April 4 search and rescue mission of two American service members whose F-15E fighter jet was shot down, during which U.S. special operations forces established a makeshift airstrip to extract personnel.
