Russia Launches 119 Drones in Mass Overnight Attack on Ukraine
On the night of April 9, 2026, Russian forces launched a massive wave of 119 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, from multiple directions including Bryansk and occupied Crimea. Ukrainian Air Defense neutralized 99 of the targets. However, 16 drones successfully struck 11 locations across the north, south, and east of Ukraine. The attack targeted fuel and energy infrastructure, causing localized damage and power outages in several regions.
